Do Russians have any historical context of rising up against oppression at all? My history is sketchy..

Obvs the Tsar & Family were murdered during the Octobver Revolution, I'm not sure there were any meaningful instances of popular revolt which culminated in a better deal for the mass of Russian serfs. Thats one of the reasons Stalin was so Brutal, becuase he modernised Russia and made decades of 'progress' in short order at the cost of a few million peasants..

the problem is the peasants, they are perhaps genetically disposed to being ruled unfairly or they like it?
Either way, their weakness and lack of political nous or indeed the basic organisation to rise up and force a change is the driver of all of this.

Fuck those Russians!!
