I stopped watching after the 3rd red card offence went unpunished around the 20 minute mark. Argentina are not good at football, they play a different game which looks like it should be called 'cheating' or 'man wrestling'. I would love to hear Gianni Infantino describe why Konsa was sent off yet numerous two footed lunges from behind (all by the shitty Argentinian losers) didn't even merit a card.
Much the same way an elbow charge to back of Anderson's head resulted in a free kick to Argentina in the semi final.
With the current governance you've got to wonder whether the referee's have been bought and sold, in EVERY Argentina game they have enjoyed super relaxed refs, until the opposition get the ball. FIFA probably don't realise that most of us watch Football all year round and can spot a clear and blatant foul, even if they try and ignore it...
At the end of the day if Messi was the greatest to ever do it, he didn't show it at all last night, and if he's all Argentina have in the locker then the next few years are going to be highly amusing as they take their rightful place behind Columbia (who play the same style) in the world rankings.
As it was, this was a shit match, with one shit team dragging everything down to their level of street violence, witless nationalism and thoughtless, feverish and mostly unwarranted saviour complex of a 40yr old, who clearly was not up to saving himself, let alone a nation.
With sterner refereeing this could have been done 2 rounds ago and an actual football match for the final could have been enjoyed instead... Still at least we got to watch Messi's last dance? - which was fucking dull. Fitting.
I'd be desperate for a refund if I had spent any money on this.
